This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 17 wins and 5 losses; Bob Le Boulder! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 8 wins and 7 losses; Richard Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Leandro Rodrigues and Felipe Paraventi.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Anderson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Anderson wants to take the fight to the mat but Le Boulder manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Le Boulder is trying to trip Anderson. He has hold of a leg but Anderson is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Le Boulder persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Le Boulder not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Le Boulder has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Le Boulder in particular looking to stall.
Anderson has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Jed's Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

I would not like to be Anderson right now.

Le Boulder has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Anderson has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Anderson staying busy and making it hard for Le Boulder to control.

Le Boulder is looking for the choke from the back position but Anderson is controlling his hands well.
Anderson rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Anderson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Le Boulder pulls his head out easily.
