Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rantang Gustus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, John Fisher!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gustus tries to bum rush Fisher with a series of wild strikes but Fisher uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gustus throws a left and a right that both miss
and Fisher counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Rantang Gustus has been cut.
Gustus jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Gustus fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gustus. Fisher does a little dance to reset his feet.
Fisher swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Rantang Gustus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fisher slips under a jab from Gustus.
Gustus looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fisher is fending him off so far but Gustus persists. Nope, Fisher circles away and we're back to standing.

Gustus tries to clinch but Fisher is having none of it.
Fisher looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Gustus throws a right hand that misses
and Fisher counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Gustus throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Fisher counters with a big right hand! Oh Gustus is in trouble here! Fisher follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
