Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jon Meril!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bob Cyle!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meril forces Cyle back against the cage and clinches.
A left hand lands to the body for Meril.
Still in the clinch, Meril scores with a nice short uppercut.
Cyle looks winded!
Cyle working hard to break the clinch.
Cyle has had enough of the clinch but Meril keeps him there for the moment.
Meril lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Cyle backwards.
Meril lands a hook that snaps the head of Cyle backwards.
A short body shot lands from Meril as the two fighters clinch.
Meril's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Meril scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Meril fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Cyle on the side of the head.
Cyle is rocked!
Meril moves into the clinch successfully.
Cyle is still on wobbly legs! Can Meril finish him?
Meril definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Meril creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Cyle's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Cyle drops to his knees and Meril pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jon Meril!
