Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Uriel Tartarus (ranked 2231 p4p, 810 weight class) and Katsu Yamasaki (ranked 276 p4p, 119 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Katsu Yamasaki!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tartarus throws a body kick that misses.

and Yamasaki counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Tartarus pushes Yamasaki off and gets back to his feet.

Tartarus wriggles free and stands up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nice takedown defense from Tartarus. No joy for Yamasaki on that attempt.
Tartarus tries to move into range but Yamasaki moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Tartarus.
Tartarus just misses with a punch to the body.

Yamasaki dives in and scores a takedown into Tartarus's guard.

Tartarus has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Yamasaki has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Tartarus lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Yamasaki is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Tartarus can't fight it off and eventually Yamasaki manages to take the fight to the floor. Tartarus looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Yamasaki is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tartarus is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tartarus has escaped and now he's on top!

Yamasaki is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tartarus defends well.

Yamasaki working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tartarus doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Yamasaki is tightening it up a little... Tartarus has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Tartarus reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Tartarus taps out! Nice BJJ there by Yamasaki!
