And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Lahey!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lahey misses with a double jab.
Lahey connects with a jab.
Lahey is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Diesel.
Lahey throws the left hand but Diesel avoids the punch easily.
Lahey walks into a left hand.
Lahey has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
A big left from Diesel misses.
Diesel defending well as Lahey loads up on a big left hand.
Lahey scores with a hook to the body. Diesel takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Diesel lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Lahey takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Diesel throws a hook to the side of Lahey's head but Lahey sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Diesel gets a clinch.

Lahey lands a right hand that snaps the head of Diesel backwards.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Diesel manages to break the clinch.
Diesel fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Lahey throws a chopping leg kick but Diesel manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Diesel throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lahey sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Diesel moves out of range as Lahey strikes.
Diesel throws a big shot that misses.
Lahey connects with the punch.
Diesel lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Lahey backs up against the cage.
Lahey defending well as Diesel loads up on a big left hand.
Diesel swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Lahey lands a big right hand that sends Diesel crashing to the mat! Lahey stays standing though and waves Diesel back to his feet!
Diesel is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Diesel glances at the clock... BAM! Lahey nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Diesel crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Diesel is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jim Lahey!
