The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sitsongrit lands a nice shot to the body.

Magomed Sitsongrit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Klaus Chugman.

As Chugman backs away, Sitsongrit returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

I was talking to Sitsongrit's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Chugman has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Sitsongrit regains guard immediately.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Chugman working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Chugman is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Sitsongrit can't fight it off and eventually Chugman manages to take the fight to the floor. Sitsongrit looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Chugman is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Sitsongrit knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Sitsongrit for a finish.
