Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arto Jarvinen (ranked 477 p4p, 707 weight class) and Juan Carlos (ranked 66 p4p, 101 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Juan Carlos!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Shimada and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carlos bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Jarvinen's head.
Jarvinen throws out a loose jab but Carlos uses good head movement to avoid it.
Jarvinen throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Carlos counters with a left and a right that stings Jarvinen.
Jarvinen loads up on a big right hand but Carlos slips the punch.
Carlos swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Carlos scores with a nice right hand.
Jarvinen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Carlos was well out of range. Poor timing from Jarvinen.
A nice side step and Carlos releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Carlos lands a leg kick that knocks Jarvinen off balance momentarily.
A slow jab from Jarvinen misses its intended target.
Jarvinen just misses with a punch to the body.
Jarvinen misses with a hook.
Jarvinen lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

It looks like Juan Carlos has been cut.
Carlos lands with a nice combination. Jarvinen backs away looking to recover.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Carlos manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Jarvinen on his heels. He'll look to pass Jarvinen's guard now, I'm sure.

Jarvinen is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.

Carlos wants to control from the top but Jarvinen keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jarvinen is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Jarvinen on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Carlos slips a straight right by Jarvinen.
Jarvinen jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Arto Jarvinen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jarvinen swings for the body but Carlos moves out of range.
Carlos lands a head kick. Jarvinen smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Jarvinen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Carlos is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Jarvinen throws a sloppy body shot
and Carlos counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Jarvinen counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Jarvinen.

Carlos escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jarvinen throws a jab when Carlos was well out of range.
Jarvinen lands a head shot.
Carlos needs to keep his hands up - Jarvinen had a free shot at his head there.
Jarvinen waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Carlos.
Jarvinen throws out a loose jab but Carlos uses good head movement to avoid it.
Carlos throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Carlos pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Carlos throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Jarvinen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Carlos was well out of range. Poor timing from Jarvinen.
Carlos feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Jarvinens jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Jarvinen lands a glancing blow to the side of Carlos's head.
Jarvinen slips a jab from Carlos.
Carlos lands a slapping body shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Carlos misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jarvinen.
Carlos thows a left - swing and a miss!
Jarvinen steps in with a hook that catches Carlos right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Jarvinen follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Carlos looks absolutely devastated.
