Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alan Durst (ranked 4721 p4p, 3749 weight class) and Chilly Willy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alan Durst!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chilly Willy!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durst looks for a takedown but Willy sprawls well.
Willy connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Durst momentarily.
Willy lands a slapping body shot.
Jab, jab by Willy - just one landing.
Durst shoots in for a takedown but Willy shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Willy misses with a few strikes there.
Willy stuns Durst with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Sloppy strikes from Willy. Those never looked like landing.
Willy stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Durst fails in his attempt to clinch.
Willy slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Willy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Durst.
Chilly Willy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Durst walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Willy moves into range and connects with a jab.
Willy scores with a decent looking hook.

Durst showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Willy.
Durst shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alan Durst. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Willy drives through with a takedown into guard.
Willy content to stall in guard here.
It looks like Willy might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Let's hope that Willy has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Durst is trying to control the position but Willy postures up.
Willy tries to free his leg and advance position but Durst is retaining full guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Durst misses the body punch
and Willy counters with a two punch combo.
Durst throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Jab by Willy.
Willy scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Willy shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Willy preventing the sweep.
Willy is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Durst looking to control.
Willy controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Durst trying to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Willy controls from within his opponent's guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Durst takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Willy has taken the fight to the clinch.

A nice right hand lands inside from Willy.
Willy lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Durst backwards.
Willy is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Willy is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Willy breaks the clinch.
Willy changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Durst has a takedown stuffed.
Despite the aggression on Willy's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Willy shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Durst eats them both and turns towards Willy to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

It looks like Alan Durst has been cut.

Durst gets caught napping as Willy dives in and scores a takedown. Durst manages to retain guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Durst working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Willy.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Chilly Willy dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Alan Durst's cut.
That's time! Durst's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Willy looks to land a combination but Durst avoids it well.
Willy has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Willy throws a right and a left that Durst avoids nicely.
Willy lands with a shot to the body.
Willy lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Durst backs up against the cage.
Durst fails with a takedown attempt.
A punch lands to the side of Durst 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Willy swats away the attempt to clinch by Durst.
Willy appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Willy jabs at Durst's body.

The fighters circle momentarily. Willy darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Willy lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Willy looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Willy tests Durst's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Durst takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Willy checks a leg kick nicely.
Willy thuds a left hand into Durst's body.
Willy scores with a punch to the head.
Durst tries to clinch but Willy is having none of it.
Willy swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Durst shoots in looking for a takedown. Willy tries to sprawl out of it but Durst keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Willy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Chilly Willy seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Willy lands with a nice combination. Durst backs away looking to recover.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Durst misses with a body shot.
Willy lands a nice looking body shot.

Willy shoots in and gets a takedown into Durst's guard.
Willy is standing up over Durst. Durst looks to escape but Willy dives into side control.

Durst seems a little lost for a moment, as Willy dominates the positioning.
Willy tries to score with some ground and pound. Durst controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Willy remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Durst prevents Willy from improving position.
Durst is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Willy takes a little break here. Durst wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Durst is trying to get back to half guard.
Durst gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Willy wants to free his trapped foot but Durst is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Willy is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Durst is just riding it out for now. Willy eventually gives up the hold.
Durst is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Willy missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Willy slows the pace down in half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Chilly Willy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Alan Durst's cut.
That's time! Durst's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Durst is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Willy.
Willy lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Willy scores with a hook to the body. Durst takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Willy sizes up Durst with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Willy works Durst's body with a nice hook.

Willy pushes Durst up against the cage in a clinch.
Durst with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Durst looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Willy lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Durst.
A right hook to the body lands for Willy.
Willy lands a left hand.

Willy breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Willy throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Willy jabs at Durst's body.
Willy lands a jab to the head.

Willy decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Willy is controlling the pace.
Willy prevents Durst from standing back up.
Willy controlling the action here.

Willy is trying for a kimura here. Durst looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Willy wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Chilly Willy!
A relieved looking Chilly Willy thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
