Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Petrov (ranked 825 p4p, 942 weight class) and Cam Fleming (ranked 118 p4p, 136 weight class). Fleming comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Killa Cam - Cam'Ron kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fleming doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Petrov counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Fleming has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Fleming throws a hook but Petrov avoids it easily.
Petrov throws a good cross that connects.

Petrov jabs Fleming to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Petrov wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Petrov has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Fleming has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Fleming goes for a takedown in the clinch but Petrov prevents it.

That has opened up Cam Fleming's cut even more.
Fleming on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Petrov cracks Fleming with an open hand slap.

The cut above Cam Fleming's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Petrov changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Petrov is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Petrov drops Fleming with a beautiful combination! Fleming stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Petrov is looking for the KO!

Fleming is rocked!
Fleming walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Fleming limp body while Petrov jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!

Ivan Petrov decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
