Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kim Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ahjo Kuomanen!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Paul Tew and Andrew Berry.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws a leg kick
enabling Kuomanen to counter with a crisp jab.
Jones tried to score with a low kick but Kuomanen checks it.
Kuomanen circles away from the clinch attempt
and Kuomanen counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Jones pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jones throws a lazy head kick
and Kuomanen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kim Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kuomanen fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kuomanen closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kuomanen lands in his opponent's guard.
Jones wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Jones's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Kuomanen pushes down on Jones's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Kuomanen thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Jones is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Jones is working hard here to advance position.
Kuomanen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Kuomanen passes the guard and advances to mount!
BOOM! Kuomanen connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Jones is looking to improve his position but Kuomanen isn't that keen on the idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kuomanen is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Jones has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Jones!

Jones looking to sit in guard and control but Kuomanen gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Jones is trying to control the position but Kuomanen postures up.
Kuomanen connects with a couple of short punches.
Kuomanen sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jones's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones trying to control but Kuomanen postures up.
Jones is trying to get back to full guard.
Jones is refusing to be controlled, as Kuomanen sits in half guard.
Kuomanen is controlling the pace.

Kuomanen is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Jones!
Jones takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Kuomanen cracks Jones with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Jones tries to hold on but Kuomanen pushes him away.
Jones keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Jones is in all sorts of trouble here.
Kuomanen has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Jones's face.

Kuomanen postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jones looks a forlorn figure.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kuomanen scoring with strikes but Jones is staying in there.
Kuomanen looking to control but Jones is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Jones takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Kuomanen's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
