Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Calvin Deane (ranked 526 p4p, 1092 weight class) and Libor Lunak (ranked 31 p4p, 58 weight class). Deane kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Cinderella Man. Libor Lunak will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Calvin Deane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Libor Lunak!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, John Roberts and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lunak stuffs the takedown attempt from Deane. Deane gets slowly back to his feet.
It seemed like Lunak was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Lunak misses with a kick to the body.
Horrible takedown attempt by Deane or perhaps it was just good defense by Lunak, which made it look bad.
Deane looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Calvin Deane. That's going to take a lot out of him.
No luck for Deane with that takedown attempt.
Lunak throws out a loose jab but Deane uses good head movement to avoid it.

Deane closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lunak to the mat! Lunak manages to get full guard.
Deane throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lunak works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Lunak preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Deane accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Deane throws a strike but Lunak rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Lunak wants to stand but Deane has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Deane is working hard here to advance position.
Lunak tries to stand but Deane is controlling from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lunak stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Libor Lunak is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Deane shoots for a takedown but Lunak saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Deane shoots in for a double leg but Lunak sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Deane darts in looking for a takedown but Lunak gets double underhooks and turns Deane into the cage.

Lunak is fighting off a takedown attempt but Deane is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Lunak to the mat. Lunak regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Deane wants to control from the top but Lunak keeps moving.
Deane slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Lunak is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Deane is controlling him well.
The strikes coming from Deane are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Deane throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Deane prevents Lunak from escaping the position.

Deane wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lunak keeps working.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Deane is trying to ground and pound but Lunak uses the momentary lack of control by Deane to regain half guard.
Deane misses with a head shot. Lunak uses the momentum to regain guard.

Deane seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Lunak pushes Deane off and scrambles back to his feet.
Deane has a takedown stuffed.
Nice body punch from Lunak.
Lunak throws a leg kick but Deane checks it.
Lunak misses with a looping left.
Deane moves out of range of the body kick.
Lunak displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Deane.
Deane shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lunak as he avoids it easily.
Deane takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Deane is breathing heavily.

Lunak lands a big head kick that sends Deane tumbling to the mat! Lunak takes a step backwards and waves Deane back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Calvin Deane has been cut.
Lunak misses with a straight left.
Deane tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lunak swivels and escapes.
Some wild striking there from Lunak.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Libor Lunak dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Back to the action!

Lunak rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Deane moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Deane feinted with a counter takedown.
Deane explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Deane closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Lunak has one foot on Deane's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Deane changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lunak tries to avoid it but Deane manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lunak to the ground. Lunak escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Lunak throws an overhand right that drops Deane like a sack of potatoes! Lunak dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
