Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Brendon Carrillo-Moreno!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kotaro Asakura!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Steve Montenegro and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carrillo-Moreno shoots for a takedown but Asakura saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Asakura throws a fast counter high kick but Carrillo-Moreno manages to duck under it in time.
Asakura scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Brendon Carrillo-Moreno seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Asakura is looking to slow Carrillo-Moreno down with leg kicks.
Asakura connects with a nice looking jab.
Carrillo-Moreno throws a poor cross that misses
and Asakura counters with a thumping low kick.
Carrillo-Moreno takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
A looping hook to the body misses from Asakura. Carrillo-Moreno does a little dance to reset his feet.
Carrillo-Moreno misses with a hook. Asakura ducked under it nicely.
Asakura dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Carrillo-Moreno. That did some damage!

Asakura tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Carrillo-Moreno is able to avoid easily.
Asakura stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Asakura wants it to stay on the feet.
Asakura was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Carrillo-Moreno steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Asakura. That one must have hurt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sloppy strikes from Asakura. Those never looked like landing.
We've been hearing reports that Carrillo-Moreno has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Carrillo-Moreno feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Carrillo-Moreno sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Asakura's guard.
Asakura is looking to improve his position.
Carrillo-Moreno wants to control but Asakura is keeping him busy.

Carrillo-Moreno is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Asakura has managed to free his arm - good work.
Carrillo-Moreno trying to control the action but Asakura is working from the bottom.
Asakura tries to roll over but Carrillo-Moreno keeps him under control.

Carrillo-Moreno is working for a kimura but Asakura is defending it quite comfortably.
Carrillo-Moreno is trying to control the action in half guard but Asakura is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Carrillo-Moreno is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Asakura has managed to free his arm - good work.
Carrillo-Moreno is looking to take a break and control but Asakura is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Carrillo-Moreno looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Carrillo-Moreno has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Asakura is trying to stand.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Carrillo-Moreno tries to control but Asakura wriggling away.
Asakura tries to hold on but Carrillo-Moreno pushes him away.

Carrillo-Moreno swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
