Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Not Ponor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Wick!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wick throws a combination that misses
and Ponor counters with a two punch combo.
Wick misses with a lunging right hand
and Ponor counters with a nice kick to the body.
Wick has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Wick ducks under a wild hook from Ponor.
Wick tries to clinch but Ponor is having none of it.
Ponor jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Wick misses with a looping left.
Wick swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ponor counters with a really nice, stiff jab that drops Wick onto his ass. He'll have to take the mandatory count from the referee but he's back on his feet and he seems OK to continue.
Wick is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ponor connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Wick out cold! This one is over in a flash!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Not Ponor!
