Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Zeke Mafner (ranked 5628 p4p, 3872 weight class) and Ieyso Rurov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zeke Mafner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ieyso Rurov!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rurov tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mafner defends well and Rurov ends up having to push Mafner into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Rurov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mafner sprawls well. Mafner wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rurov gets slowly back to his feet.
Mafner scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Mafner is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Mafner isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Rurov stacks Mafner on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Rurov!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rurov in side control, just content to control the action for now.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Mafner shoots in looking for a takedown. Rurov tries to sprawl out of it but Mafner keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rurov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
And Rurov tries to counter it with a takedown but Mafner pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Mafner goes for a double leg but Rurov avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Rurov continues to drive forward.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Mafner tries to lock up and control but Rurov gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Oh Mafner is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Rurov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Rurov loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Mafner scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Rurov land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Rurov stands and salutes the crowd.
