Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Satoshi Ekaku (ranked 438 p4p, 351 weight class) and Sean O Malley (ranked 37 p4p, 20 weight class). O Malley comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Goat Talk- Sugar Sean kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Satoshi Ekaku!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean O Malley!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Malley lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Nice jab there from Ekaku.
Ekaku lands a nice looking body shot.
O Malley throws out a loose jab but Ekaku uses good head movement to avoid it.
O Malley throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ekaku sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Ekaku was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Ekaku lands with a shot to the body.
O Malley takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and O Malley counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Ekaku needs to keep his hands up - O Malley had a free shot at his head there.
O Malley swings for the body but Ekaku moves out of range.

O Malley is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ekaku paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Ekaku bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
We've been informed that O Malley has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

O Malley smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
O Malley throws a hook to the side of Ekaku's head but Ekaku sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

O Malley loads up on a big right hand but Ekaku slips the punch.
Ekaku pushes O Malley away with a front kick.
Ekaku feints and then cracks O Malley's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow O Malley down.

It seemed like O Malley was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
O Malley uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Ekaku misses with a low kick.
Ekaku takes a swing at O Malley's ribcage but misses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looks like Ekaku has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
O Malley ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ekaku moves away.

O Malley is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ekaku.

O Malley lands a nice leg kick that just misses Ekaku's sensitive parts.
O Malley swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Ekaku is looking to slow O Malley down with leg kicks.

O Malley lands a nice shot that snaps Ekaku's head back.
Oh Ekaku is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Nice uppercut lands for Ekaku. That snapped O Malley's head back.

O Malley looks to score with a jab to the body but Ekaku is just out of range.
O Malley fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
O Malley cracks Ekaku with a right hand to the side of the head.
Ekaku throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
O Malley circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Ekaku to the canvas! Ekaku doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - O Malley keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sean O Malley!
Sean O Malley really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Fantasy Threads logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
