The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Griffin with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Slavik fails to land the takedown.
Griffin punishes Slavik's body with a nice straight punch.
Griffin thuds a left hand into Slavik's body.
Griffin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Slavik.
Griffin looks to land a combination but Slavik avoids it well.
Slavik drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Griffin defends it well.
Slavik tries for a takedown but Griffin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
A slapping body kick lands there for Griffin.

Griffin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Slavik changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

It looks like Krystof Slavik has been cut.

and Griffin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Matthew Griffin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Krystof Slavik.
Griffin throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Slavik's head.
Slavik fails to land the takedown.
Slavik shoots in looking for a takedown but Griffin manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Slavik's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Slavik has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Griffin wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Slavik is rocked!

That has opened up Krystof Slavik's cut even more.
Griffin steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Slavik.
Griffin scores with a nice strike.
Slavik is still on wobbly legs! Can Griffin finish him?
Slavik looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Slavik seems to have recovered his senses.
Matthew Griffin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Slavik shoots and misses

and Griffin counters with a crisp one two that drops Slavik! Griffin thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Slavik to his feet! Slavik is in big trouble!
Griffin lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Slavik can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Griffin and Slavik drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Griffin.
