The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Watts tries to sprawl but Gigolo drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Watts is staying active underneath Gigolo, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Watts is nestled in close to Gigolo, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Watts is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Watts takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Gigolo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Watts as he avoids it easily.

That has opened up Bam Bam Gigolo's cut even more.
Watts feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Gigolos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

The cut above Bam Bam Gigolo's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Watts connects with a jab.
Watts lands a really nice looking cross but Gigolo seems unphased.
Watts scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Watts connects with a body shot.
Watts connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Bam Bam Gigolo's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Gigolo takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
A left lands for Watts.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Bam Bam Gigolo's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Cole Watts decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
