PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Iwin Alot (ranked 2084 p4p, 2216 weight class) and Wolfgang Von Wild (ranked 186 p4p, 197 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Alot might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Return of the mack. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wolfgang Von Wild!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alot scores with a takedown into Von Wild's guard.
Von Wild escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Alot gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Alot trying to control but Von Wild is working from the bottom.
Von Wild not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Alot stands up over Von Wild, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Von Wild escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Alot gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Von Wild has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Alot can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Alot content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Von Wild has locked up a guillotine! Von Wild's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Alot is holding on here and Von Wild must be using up a lot of energy. Alot has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Von Wild gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Wolfgang Von Wild!
In his post fight interview, Wolfgang Von Wild started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
