Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sergey Ilichev (ranked 4713 p4p, 6300 weight class) and Masahito Tamura (ranked 472 p4p, 521 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergey Ilichev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Masahito Tamura!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Roger Salmon and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tamura rushes Ilichev and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Ilichev looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Tamura is working for takedown but Ilichev is calmly controlling the position for now.
Ilichev is trying to maintain a safe position but Tamura gets an underhook and turns Ilichev into the cage.

Tamura ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Tamura no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Tamura shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ilichev pinned against the cage. Ilichev gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Tamura shoots in looking for a takedown. Ilichev tries to sprawl out of it but Tamura keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ilichev manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Sergey Ilichev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Masahito Tamura.
Tamura swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ilichev doesn't manage to clinch there - Tamura circles away.
Tamura tries to counter with a clinch but Ilichev shakes him off and moves away.
Tamura closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ilichev did well to prevent Tamura getting side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
