The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dieudonne tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Castrello swivels and escapes.
Castrello lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Dieudonne fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Castrello fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Castrello keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
An attempted straight right counter from Castrello misses the target.
Cullen Castrello has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jean Philippe Dieudonne.
Dieudonne shoots in for a takedown but Castrello shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

It looks like Jean Philippe Dieudonne has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Castrello sends Dieudonne crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Castrello is motioning to the referee to let Dieudonne up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Jean Philippe Dieudonne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Castrello finds Dieudonne's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Dieudonne flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Castrello lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Dieudonne will be OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Cullen Castrello!
A relieved looking Cullen Castrello thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
