The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goodman wants to clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Goodman tries to work over Ironfeld's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Goodman doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Goodman creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Ironfeld's defenses.

It looks like Theros Ironfeld has been cut.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ironfeld has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Goodman cracks a nice hook into Ironfeld's ribs.

Ironfeld throws a series of punches but Goodman moves out of range.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Goodman creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Ironfeld breaks the clinch.

and Goodman counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Goodman cracks Ironfeld with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Ironfeld looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Goodman finish him?
