Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, William H Bonney!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kollaa River!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Phil Schofield and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
River shoots for a double leg takedown but Bonney sprawls well. He's pushed River's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A decent looking cross lands there for Bonney.

It looks like Kollaa River has been cut.
A slow jab from Bonney misses its intended target.
Nice defenses there by Bonney.
River looks to score with a jab to the body but Bonney is just out of range.
Bonney swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
River lands with a good body shot.
Bonney throws a looping overhand right but River ducks down to avoid it.
River looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Bonney lands a nice shot that snaps River's head back.
River misses with a body shot.
River keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
A lazy left from River finds it's target.
Bonney throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
River throws a poor cross that misses
and Bonney counters with a lovely straight right hand!
This has been an exciting period of action!
River goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
It looked like Bonney wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
River takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
A clash of legs there as Bonney blocks the low kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
River misses with a body punch
and Bonney counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

That has opened up Kollaa River's cut even more.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Bonney crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from River - the referee stops the clock and Bonney gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says River. Bonney manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
River misses the shot to the body.
Bonney scores with a hook.
Bonney throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
River moves away from the strike by Bonney.
Bonney cracks River with a right hand to the side of the head.
Bonney avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
It looked like Bonney wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Nice uppercut there from River.
River ducks under a wild hook from Bonney.
Bonney checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
River dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Bonney misses with a looping right.
Bonney uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by River.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bonney slips a straight right by River.
Good exchange - River coming out on top.
River wants to land a leg kick but Bonney is out of range.
A little feinted left hand from Bonney on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
River comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
River lands a nice looking body kick.
Bonney ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Bonney throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
It looks like Bonney has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
A jab from River does it's job there.
Bonney on the wrong end of a nice jab.
River uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bonney.
River moves out of range of the body kick.
River thuds a left hand into Bonney's body.
River lands a jab to the nose.

River scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Bonney regains half guard, as River was trying to land strikes.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

River in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Bonney tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from River!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Kollaa River!
Kollaa River really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Urban Fighter logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
