Payton kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Andre Nickatina - Yeah. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payton misses with an uppercut. Bradock saw that one coming.
Payton throws an overhand right that lands on Bradock's shoulder, as Bradock tries to avoid the shot.
Bradock moves away from the strike by Payton.
Bradock throws out a counter right but Payton avoids it with no problem.
Bradock throws a series of punches but Payton avoids them all with ease.
Payton misses with a shot to the body
and Bradock counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Bradock misses the jab.
Payton moves forwards but Bradock connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Bradock tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Payton manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bradock swats away the attempt to clinch by Payton.
Bradock takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Bradock throws a body shot but no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
