Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kamil Decaukas (ranked 2249 p4p, 3534 weight class) and Nico Ressler (ranked 133 p4p, 204 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Dirk Anderson and Bart Greer.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ressler throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Decaukas throws a jab when Ressler was well out of range.
Decaukas misses with a lunging right hand
and Ressler counters with a nice uppercut.
Decaukas misses with a looping right.
Ressler lands a glancing blow to the side of Decaukas's head.
Ressler lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
The fighters circle momentarily. Ressler darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Ressler lands a body shot.

Decaukas takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Decaukas shoots in and bounces Ressler off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Decaukas drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ressler dives on top into guard.

Ressler stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Decaukas swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ressler connects with a good right hand that stumbles Decaukas. Decaukas circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Decaukas fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Ressler to the ground. Decaukas is now in Ressler's guard.
Ressler manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Decaukas manages to get himself to full guard.

Decaukas throws his legs up looking for a submission but Ressler uses it to pass to side control.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Nico Ressler showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Ressler lunges at Decaukas with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Decaukas's hand.

Ressler fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Decaukas looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Decaukas tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A little jabbing left from Ressler on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Ressler's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Ressler duly obliges.

enabling Ressler to counter with a crisp jab.

A left and a right from Ressler both land. Nice combination.
Ressler lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Decaukas changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ressler looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Decaukas has hold of Ressler's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Ressler tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Decaukas cranks the arm and Ressler screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Ressler, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
