Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Radar (ranked 1140 p4p, 991 weight class) and Radio Philips (ranked 136 p4p, 115 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Max Radar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 23 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Radio Philips!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Saam Ante and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Philips uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Radar.
Philips tries to land a front kick but Radar steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Philips tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Philips walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Radar checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Max Radar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Radar throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Philips on the side of the head.
A punch combination from Radar misses.
Radar throws a nice inside leg kick.
Philips looks to throw the jab but Radar is out of range.
Philips fails with an attempt to clinch.

Radar lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
No joy there for Radar, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Radar throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Philips.
A looping hook to the body misses from Philips. Radar does a little dance to reset his feet.

Radar takes a swing at Philips's ribcage but misses.
Radar looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Radar does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Radar throws a head punch that misses.
Radar tries to work over Philips's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Radar blocks an uppercut.

Radar trying to control the position but instead, Philips has worked for underhooks and has pushed Radar into the cage.
Philips tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Radar's elbow.

Radar's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Philips looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Radar clobbers Philips with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Radar gets through Philips's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
With the fighters up against the cage, Philips throws an elbow but misses.
Radar misses with some punches.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Philips misses with a hook to the ribs.
Philips misses with a knee strike.
Philips misses with a body punch.
Philips pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Radar pushes Philips back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Radar pushes Philips back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Philips tries to land knees in the clinch but Radar avoids the damage to the body.

Radar is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Philips tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Radar avoids it.
Philips utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Radar takes a knee to the side of the body.
Radar is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Philips can't find room to land a body shot as Radar controls the action.

Radar goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

A head punch blocked on the inside by Philips.
Philips unloads a knee to the mid-section. Radar lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Max Radar will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Max Radar's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Radar is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Philips changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Radar has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Radar throws a jab when Philips was well out of range.
Philips throws a nice head kick!
Radar misses with a combination
and Philips counters with a nice low kick that buckles Radar's knee momentarily.

Philips bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Radar! He dives into his guard looking to finish!

Radar is rocked!

Max Radar's cut is getting worse.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Philips gets to his feet - Radar follows without any prompting.
Oh Radar is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Radar glances at the clock... BAM! Philips nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Radar crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Radar is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Radio Philips!
A relieved looking Radio Philips thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
