Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tom Dancer (ranked 23644 p4p, 24116 weight class) and Sergej Kusnemirpow (ranked 564 p4p, 579 weight class). Sergej Kusnemirpow is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tom Dancer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sergej Kusnemirpow!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kusnemirpow is defended easily by Dancer.

Dancer is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Kusnemirpow dives into side control.

Kusnemirpow is looking for the choke from the back position but Dancer is controlling his hands well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dancer is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Dancer manages to reverse the position and now he's in Kusnemirpow's guard. Nice work there by Dancer.
Dancer looking to sit in guard and control but Kusnemirpow gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


Kusnemirpow is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Dancer is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Dancer has escaped and now he's on top!

Kusnemirpow is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dancer pulls his head out easily.
Dancer is just content to waste time from the top position. Kusnemirpow takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Kusnemirpow is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dancer is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Kusnemirpow shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dancer pinned against the cage. Dancer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Sergej Kusnemirpow showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Kusnemirpow swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Dancer ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kusnemirpow moves away.

Dancer throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dancer throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Nice straight punches there by Dancer. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Dancer.
Kusnemirpow moves out of range as Dancer strikes.
It seemed like Kusnemirpow was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Tom Dancer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kusnemirpow shoots for a takedown but Dancer saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Tom Dancer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sergej Kusnemirpow.

Dancer will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
