Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jim Lahey (ranked 3528 p4p, 3243 weight class) and Emanuel Le Delma (ranked 294 p4p, 277 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Le Delma's choice of entrance music: Je Reste Ghetto. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lahey slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

It looks like Emanuel Le Delma has been cut.
Le Delma scores with a sloppy right hand. Lahey should have avoided that one.
Le Delma throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Le Delma has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Lahey tries to close the distance and clinch but Le Delma swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
