The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whitaker lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Whitaker stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Brandt takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Brandt is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Whitaker cracks Brandt with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Whitaker has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Brandt to stand back up!
Whitaker drops Brandt with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Brandt! Whitaker dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
