Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryoto Takahashi (ranked 5 p4p, 82 weight class) and Maurits Assndrop (ranked 1 p4p, 14 weight class). Takahashi comes to the cage accompanied by SMOKING & THINKING. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Maurits Assndrop was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takahashi throws a right hand that misses
and Assndrop counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Assndrop misses with a double jab
and Takahashi counters with a head kick.
A thudding body kick lands there by Takahashi!
Takahashi moves out of range as Assndrop strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Assndrop counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Takahashi misses with a leg kick
and Assndrop counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Ryoto Takahashi has been cut.

A slapping body kick lands there for Takahashi.
Assndrop misses with a hook

and Takahashi counters with a crisp right hand that drops Assndrop! Takahashi lets Assndrop back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Assndrop is rocked!

It looks like Maurits Assndrop has been cut.
Takahashi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Assndrop. That did some damage!
Takahashi throws a combination that misses
and Assndrop counters with a body kick that stops Takahashi in his tracks momentarily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Takahashi seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
A nice inside leg kick there by Takahashi. That's going to slow Assndrop down.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

No joy there for Assndrop, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A slow jab from Assndrop misses its intended target.
Takahashi throws a quick counter head kick but Assndrop was just out of range.
Takahashi connects with an inside leg kick.
Takahashi scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Takahashi rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Assndrop connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A chopping leg kick lands by Takahashi.

Assndrop misses with a kick to the body
and Assndrop takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Assndrop swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Takahashi uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Assndrop has time to react.
Takahashi feints with a left and delivers a massive head kick! Assndrop collapses like a ragdoll! Game over!
