Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Noah Berthier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andriy Yarmalenko!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Steve Montenegro and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berthier takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Yarmalenko cracks Berthier with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Yarmalenko throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Berthier with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Yarmalenko to score with a decent uppercut.
Yarmalenko throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Berthier closes the distance and clinches.
Yarmalenko blocks the elbow strike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Yarmalenko breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Berthier moves into the clinch successfully.

Yarmalenko's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A punch lands to the side of Berthier 's head but he takes it in his stride.

and Yarmalenko counters with a straight right hand.
Berthier chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Yarmalenko can pounce on him.

Berthier closes the distance and pushes Yarmalenko back into the cage.

Yarmalenko's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Berthier counters with a series of strikes. Yarmalenko will be more careful next time no doubt.

and Berthier counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Andriy Yarmalenko has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Berthier rushes Yarmalenko and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Berthier throws a head punch that misses.

Berthier keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Yarmalenko's efforts to push away.
Yarmalenko tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Berthier's elbow.
Yarmalenko misses with some punches.
Yarmalenko tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Yarmalenko is trying to stall.

Yarmalenko is persisting with his attempts to control the action in the clinch, rather than do any real damage.

A body shot lands from Yarmalenko.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Berthier just misses with a elbow thrown towards Yarmalenko's brow.
Berthier creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Yarmalenko's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Yarmalenko drops to his knees and Berthier pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Noah Berthier!
During a confident post fight interview, Noah Berthier thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
