Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Travis Dillinger (ranked 2752 p4p, 2409 weight class) and Al Fry (ranked 381 p4p, 350 weight class). Al Fry will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Travis Dillinger !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Al Fry!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dillinger goes for a double leg but Fry avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Fry continues to drive forward.
Fry prevents a takedown attempt there.
Dillinger wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Travis Dillinger . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dillinger is working for takedown but Fry is calmly controlling the position for now.

Dillinger has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Fry clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Fry is trying escape back to his feet. He turns into his opponent's guard and eventually finds his way back to his feet.

Fry is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Fry really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dillinger . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fry pushes Dillinger away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Dillinger gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Fry explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Dillinger shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fry but Fry pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Dillinger changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fry tries to avoid it but Dillinger manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fry to the ground. Fry escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Fry tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Fry is trying to force a seperation but Dillinger has the dominant position.
Fry wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Dillinger has him pressed against the cage.
Dillinger has Fry pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Fry manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Dillinger is trying to drag Fry to the mat but Fry just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Fry will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fry can do anything to dispel that myth.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

And Fry tries to counter it with a takedown but Dillinger pushes his down on his head and steps out.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dillinger has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
