The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haskins cracks Hopkins with a good jab.
Haskins rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
enabling Hopkins to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Dwayne Haskins has been cut.
Hopkins misses with a straight right.
Haskins tries a head kick but it misses.
Hopkins looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Haskins throws a jab when Hopkins was well out of range.
Haskins misses with an uppercut.
Hopkins is looking to counter with head kicks.
Haskins misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hopkins stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Haskins just misses with a punch to the body.
Haskins swings for the body but Hopkins moves out of range.
Hopkins throws a counter high kick but Haskins was just alert enough to avoid it.

Haskins jabs Hopkins right on the nose. Hopkins blinks but takes it well.

Dwayne Haskins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hopkins gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Hopkins tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Haskins is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Hopkins buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Hopkins!! Hopkins is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Haskins throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
