I think McGuire might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Johnny Cash - God's Gonna Cut You Down. Kevin McGuire has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua misses with a left hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Rua throws an overhand right that lands on McGuire's shoulder, as McGuire tries to avoid the shot.
McGuire scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
McGuire throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McGuire misses with a head kick.
Rua is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Rua tries to move into range but McGuire moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

It looks like Wanderlei Rua has been cut.
McGuire is looking to chop away at Rua's legs.
Rua checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Rua tries to counter by closing the distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rua uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Rua looks to land a left hand but McGuire moved out of range nicely.

McGuire on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Rua. Rua obviously looking to wear him down.
McGuire takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
McGuire darts in looking for a takedown but Rua gets double underhooks and turns McGuire into the cage.
Rua wants to counter with a clinch but McGuire pushes him away.
Rua tries to circle away but McGuire has him pinned against the cage.
McGuire is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Rua lands on the inside with an uppercut.
McGuire lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Rua backwards.
McGuire works on Rua's body with a couple of short punches.
McGuire lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Rua pushes McGuire back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Rua.

Rua breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rua uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from McGuire.
Jab, jab by Rua - just one landing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nice uppercut there from McGuire.

That kick from McGuire tenderised Rua's leg. Rua is trying to keep his angry face on.
McGuire throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A slow jab from Rua misses its intended target.
A chopping leg kick lands by Rua.

McGuire moves into the clinch.
McGuire tries a body shot but Rua blocks it.

Rua's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
McGuire bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
McGuire tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
McGuire is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rua.
Rua throws an uppercut from half a mile away. McGuire sees it coming and avoids it easily.
McGuire misses with a low kick.

Rua throws a right hand that misses
and McGuire counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
McGuire throws a body shot but no joy.

McGuire sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Rua to the ground! McGuire dives into full mount looking to finish!

Rua is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Whack. That's a big, big shot from McGuire! Rua is out cold! This one is all over!
