Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mantak Garuda (ranked 49 p4p, 257 weight class) and Basko Godwin (ranked 9 p4p, 38 weight class). Garuda's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Djiin Djiin. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Basko Godwin!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Godwin throws a push kick but Garuda slaps the foot to one side.
Garuda swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Jab, jab by Godwin - just one landing.
Garuda throws a series of punches but Godwin avoids them all with ease.
Godwin works Garuda's body with a nice hook.
Garuda avoids the body shot from Godwin.
Garuda misses with a hook. Godwin ducked under it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Garuda bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Garuda keeps the fight on the outside.
Garuda takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Godwin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Garuda moves away.
Garuda throws an overhand right that lands on Godwin's shoulder, as Godwin tries to avoid the shot.
The fighters circling - Garuda throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Garuda throws a wild body kick that Godwin sees coming a mile off.
Godwin connects with a crisp jab.
Garuda lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Godwin is looking to clinch.
Godwin feints and then cracks Garuda's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Garuda down.
Garuda takes one to the side of the head.

It looks like Mantak Garuda has been cut.
Garuda throws a jab but it's blocked by Godwin.
Garuda seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Garuda on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Godwin. Godwin obviously looking to wear him down.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Godwin misses with a looping right.
Garuda lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Godwin at a distance.
Godwin avoids the body shot from Garuda.
Godwin feints a counter leg kick.

Godwin tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Garuda manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Godwin delivers a nice body kick.
A clash of legs there as Garuda blocks the low kick.
Garuda fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Godwin swings widly with a right hand
and Garuda cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Godwin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Garuda.
Godwin lands with an uppercut that bounces Garuda off the cage and back into range.

A low kick lands for Godwin.
Godwin lunges at Garuda with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Garuda's hand.
Garuda throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Despite the aggression on Godwin's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Godwin lands a nice looking body shot.
Garuda uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Godwin.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Godwin moves away from the strike by Garuda.
Basko Godwin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Godwin goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Godwin misses with a lunging right hand
and Garuda makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Basko Godwin dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Mantak Garuda's cut.
That's time! Garuda's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Godwin throws a predictable looking body shot
and Garuda counters with a straight right hand.
Donk. Godwin catches Garuda right on the button with a cross.
Godwin misses with a body kick.
Garuda was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Godwin throws a lazy right hand but Garuda sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Garuda is looking to counter punch.
Garuda walks into a straight right hand from Godwin.
Godwin walks straight into a right hand from Garuda - that's dropped him! Garuda jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Godwin from any more punishment! Godwin complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

A very excited looking Mantak Garuda made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
