PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ralph Hall (ranked 952 p4p, 633 weight class) and Jaxon Magrath (ranked 126 p4p, 83 weight class). Hall comes to the cage accompanied by Pinball Wizard. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid leg kick lands there for Magrath.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Hall changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Magrath tries to avoid it but Hall manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Magrath to the ground. Magrath escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Magrath! But no joy.

Hall uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Magrath.
Hall throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Magrath throws a shot from downtown. Hall moves away and avoids it.
Magrath dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hall. That did some damage!
A punch lands to the side of Hall 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Magrath throws the left hand but Hall avoids the punch easily.
Hall lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Hall drives through with a takedown into Magrath's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Hall isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Magrath stacks Hall on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Magrath!

Magrath remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
