The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson slips under a jab.
Despite the aggression on Johnson's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Ali throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Johnson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Ali fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ali throws a jab when Johnson was well out of range.
Johnson is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Ali with a body shot.
Ali tries to clinch but Johnson is having none of it.
Johnson looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Johnson misses with a straight right.
Ali goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Johnson counters with a three punch combo that has Ali backing up. Ali nods at Johnson to acknowledge the strikes.

Johnson drops Ali with a left right combo! Johnson follows him down to the ground into side control.

Ali is rocked!

It looks like Islam Ali has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Johnson decides to stand back up. Johnson steps back and let's Ali get back to his feet.
Oh Ali is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ali uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Nice body kick there by Ali.
Johnson is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Ali flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Ali is out cold! Johnson holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
