Hinkle is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: 3 Hour Tour. Roy Hinkle is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hinkle is trying hard to land a takedown here. Chek sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Chek stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Chek wants it to stay on the feet.
Hinkle has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Hinkle slaps away a takedown attempt from Chek, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Hinkle has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Chek is not content to let Hinkle control the position.
Hinkle might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Chek haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hinkle grinds an elbow into Chek's temple.

Hinkle scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Chek to see if he's OK.

Chek is trying to control Hinkle's posture but Hinkle avoids it.

Hinkle lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Chek down.
Hinkle is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Chek will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Let's hope that Hinkle has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Chek seems a little lost for a moment, as Hinkle dominates the positioning.

Hinkle cracks Chek with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Hinkle immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Chek is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Hinkle!

In his post fight interview, Roy Hinkle started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
