The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kearney looks to score with a jab to the body but Bowers is just out of range.
Kearney is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Kearney in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Bowers lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Bowers lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kearney circles away quickly and effectively.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with each other but Kearney might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Bowers has got the better of the exchanges.

Kearney cracks Bowers with a hook to the temple - Bowers is on wobbly legs here! Kearney swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Bowers falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Kearney wins by TKO!
