Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bong Ji Woo (ranked 89 p4p, 136 weight class) and Ispa Perkele (ranked 18 p4p, 28 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bong Ji Woo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 12 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ispa Perkele!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perkele tries a head kick but it misses.
Ji Woo tries to move into range but Perkele moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Ji Woo throws a half hearted mid kick.
Ji Woo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ji Woo moves out of range of the strikes.
Ji Woo jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Perkele walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Ji Woo throws a body kick that misses.
Perkele throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Ji Woo was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Ji Woo has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Convicted Fight Club in the buildup to the fight.
Ji Woo cracks Perkele with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Perkele lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Ji Woo has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Ji Woo and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with each other but Perkele might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Ji Woo has got the better of the exchanges.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bong Ji Woo.
Well Ji Woo has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
