Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Klaus Silverstein (ranked 4041 p4p, 2290 weight class) and Peter Petrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Klaus Silverstein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 19 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Peter Petrov!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silverstein displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Petrov throws out the jab.
As Petrov looks to move away, Silverstein throws a big counter combo but Petrov just gets out of the way.
The fight stays on the outside here - Silverstein looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
It seemed like Petrov was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Silverstein avoids the body shot from Petrov.
Silverstein half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Petrov misses with an uppercut. Silverstein saw that one coming.
Petrov thuds his right hand into Silverstein's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Silverstein tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Petrov comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

and Silverstein counters with a single leg into guard. Petrov didn't expect that.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Petrov wants to control but Silverstein passes into side.
We've been hearing that Silverstein has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Petrov looks to move to half guard but instead Silverstein has passed into mount! Damn!
Petrov tries to lock up and control but Silverstein gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Petrov sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Petrov has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Silverstein escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Silverstein!

Petrov tries to improve position but can't.
Petrov is being controlled here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Petrov tries to buck Silverstein off but Silverstein is having none of it.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Silverstein ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Petrov moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Silverstein ducks right into an uppercut from Petrov.
Petrov swings for the body but Silverstein moves out of range.
Petrov cracks Silverstein with an open hand slap.
Petrov throws out a loose jab but Silverstein uses good head movement to avoid it.
Petrov is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Petrov looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Silverstein half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Silverstein takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Silverstein misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Petrov lands the left hand.
Petrov throws a hook but Silverstein blocks it.
Petrov misses with a hook
and Silverstein counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Petrov misses with an uppercut. Silverstein saw that one coming.
Klaus Silverstein is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Petrov stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Silverstein has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Silverstein there as he acknowledges the shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Peter Petrov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Petrov looks to land a left hand but Silverstein moved out of range nicely.
Petrov rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Silverstein moves into the clinch.

Petrov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nice uppercut there from Petrov.
Petrov tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Silverstein was well out of range. Poor timing from Petrov.

Petrov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Silverstein.
Silverstein throws a body punch but Petrov moves out of range.

Silverstein throws a big counter combination but Petrov scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Petrov misses with an uppercut. Silverstein saw that one coming.
Petrov might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Petrov throws a looping overhand right but Silverstein ducks down to avoid it.

Petrov connects with a nice looking jab.
Petrov tries to bum rush Silverstein with a series of wild strikes but Silverstein uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Silverstein counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Petrov thinking.
Silverstein is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Petrov doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

and Silverstein counters with a shoot takedown. Petrov fights it but they end up in guard.
Klaus Silverstein overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Silverstein passes Petrov's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Silverstein content to control rather than advance.

Petrov wants to get back to full guard but Silverstein has passed into side control.
Petrov is looking to reverse the position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Petrov prevents Silverstein from improving position.
Petrov tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Peter Petrov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!

Silverstein wants to clinch up but Petrov keeps it at a distance.
Despite the aggression on Petrov's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Petrov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Silverstein manages to avoid it.
Silverstein throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Petrov misses with a left hand
and Silverstein counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Petrov throws a right hand that Silverstein ducks under and follows up with a left that Silverstein also avoids with ease.
Petrov misses with an uppercut. Silverstein saw that one coming.
Petrov cracks Silverstein with an open hand slap.
Silverstein tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Petrov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

so Silverstein counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Petrov is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Silverstein frees his head nicely. Oh but Petrov has switched to an armbar! Silverstein is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
