Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nero Hardy (ranked 239 p4p, 649 weight class) and Roland Weudke (ranked 30 p4p, 81 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 37 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roland Weudke!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weudke avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A swing and a miss from Weudke.
Hardy lands an overhand right.

It looks like Roland Weudke has been cut.
Weudke takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Hardy throws a poor cross that misses

A momentary lapse in concentration from Weudke enables Hardy to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Weudke manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

That was a close round but I would say that Nero Hardy will probably get the nod.

Hardy cracks Weudke with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
We've been informed that Weudke has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Nero Hardy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Hardy swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Weudke is now in Hardy's guard. A big mistake from Hardy there, giving up the dominant position!

Hardy has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Weudke is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hardy.
