Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Red Jesus Karter (ranked 822 p4p, 779 weight class) and Ben Reed (ranked 118 p4p, 110 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Red Jesus Karter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 19 - 3, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ben Reed!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reed moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Reed keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Reed lands a nice looking body kick.
A lazy left from Karter finds it's target.
Reed getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Karter takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Reed throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Reed throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Ben Reed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Reed gets cracked there but stands up to it.

We've been informed that Reed has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Karter feints and as Reed raises his hands in defense, Karter changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Karter has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Reed pulls Karter in close to prevent any damage.
Let's hope that Reed has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Reed's jab looks to have found its range, popping Karter under the eye.

and Karter connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Karter's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Reed connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Karter scrambles back to his feet.

and Karter counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Ben Reed showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Both fighters circling a little - Reed finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Reed connects with a right hand. Karter shakes it off.
Karter will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Karter clobbers Reed with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Karter throws a looping overhand right but Reed ducks down to avoid it.

Reed works Karter's body with a nice hook.
Reed tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Karter was well out of range. Poor timing from Reed.
Karter fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Reed has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

As Reed backs away, Karter returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

and Karter counters with a crisp one two that drops Reed! Karter thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Reed to his feet! Reed is in big trouble!

Reed is rocked!
Ben Reed is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Karter shoots in for a takedown. He's got it... He's hoisted his opponent over his head and is carrying him over to the other end of the mat. The crowd roars in approval and Karter slams his opponent to the mat. OH, that is naaaaaasty! He's out! Karter lands a punch to his unconscious victim for good measure before the ref has time to call the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Slam). Red Jesus Karter!
Red Jesus Karter took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'Ok so fuck you dad, your genes would have left me with genital dwarfism but fortunately I only got the hair.'.
