Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Grant Harklie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Morse Carson!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harklie takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Harklie tries for a takedown but Carson circles away easily
and Carson counters with a nice uppercut.
Harklie closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Carson stops Harklie from passing to mount.
Harklie advances nicely into full mount.
Carson is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Harklie is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Carson has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Harklie lands a big elbow.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Carson trying desperately to get to his feet.
Carson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Harklie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Harklie is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Carson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Harklie wants to control the pace but Carson is squirming around nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like Morse Carson has been cut.
Harklie looking to control but Carson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Harklie has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Harklie looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Harklie is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Carson is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Carson flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Harklie anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Carson and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Harklie slips an arm under Carson chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Harklie has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Harklie is squeezing on Carson like an anaconda would it's prey. Carson fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Grant Harklie!
