Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rod De Minaur (ranked 3 p4p, 29 weight class) and Miami Vice (ranked 1 p4p, 6 weight class). De Minaur comes into the arena with Seek and Destroy blaring out of the sound system. Vice is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Vice. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Minaur throws out a powerful jab.

It looks like Miami Vice has been cut.
Some bone on bone action there as De Minaur checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Rod De Minaur seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

De Minaur looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Vice rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but De Minaur moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

De Minaur clobbers Vice with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

De Minaur is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Vice.
De Minaur tries a head kick but it misses.
Vice slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from De Minaur. Vice does a little dance to reset his feet.
De Minaur feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Vices jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

De Minaur is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

and De Minaur counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

The cut above Miami Vice's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Vice throws a sloppy head kick and De Minaur moves out of range easily.
De Minaur will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
De Minaur cracks Vice with a right hand to the side of the head.

Nice uppercut lands for Vice. That snapped De Minaur's head back.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

De Minaur throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Vice stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Miami Vice's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Vice lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
De Minaur cracks Vice with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Miami Vice's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
