Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nig Nig (ranked 742 p4p, 854 weight class) and Aatreya Mahrishi (ranked 109 p4p, 123 weight class). Nig's entrance music is Psycho by Beasts of Bourbon. A fine choice. Mahrishi is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: On the Precipe of Defeat. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Aatreya Mahrishi!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Sosuke Kotani and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nig throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Mahrishi counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Nig Nig has been cut.
Nig throws out a loose jab but Mahrishi uses good head movement to avoid it.
A little jabbing left from Mahrishi on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
A punch lands to the side of Nig 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Nig scores with a nice head shot.
Mahrishi slips a straight right by Nig.
Nig has been working on his boxing with his coaches at HELLCADEMY in the buildup to the fight.
Nig takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Mahrishi takes one to the chin there.
Nig feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Mahrishis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Mahrishi moves out of range of the strikes.
Mahrishi lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Nig misses with a wild body shot.
Mahrishi is looking for the big counter here.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Mahrishi has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

and Nig counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Mahrishi slips under a jab from Nig.

and Nig makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Nig fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mahrishi manages to avoid it.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Mahrishi! But no joy.

Mahrishi flicks out a counter leg kick but Nig steps away.
Nig fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Mahrishi.

Nig lands a nice shot that snaps Mahrishi's head back.
Mahrishi has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Nig finds it's way round the side to connect with Mahrishi's head.

Mahrishi throws a sloppy head kick and Nig moves out of range easily.

Mahrishi shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Nig lands with a hook. Mahrishi tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Nig is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Nig lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Mahrishi looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Nig throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Mahrishi walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

and Mahrishi cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Nig throws an overhand right that lands on Mahrishi's shoulder, as Mahrishi tries to avoid the shot.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Nig's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Nig tries to move into range but Mahrishi moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
