Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Caua Takeda (ranked 3979 p4p, 2454 weight class) and Trevor McDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 219 weight class). Takeda comes to the cage accompanied by Oba, La Vem Ela. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takeda has a takedown stuffed.
Takeda takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
A nice combination there by McDonald.
Takeda fails in his attempt to clinch.
Takeda dodges the punch combination from McDonald.

Takeda moves into the clinch successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Takeda looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Takeda looking to throw knees to the head but McDonald is blocking nicely.
Takeda tries to pull guard but McDonald won't allow it.

Takeda jumps into guard, dragging McDonald to the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Takeda is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but McDonald frees his head nicely. Oh but Takeda has switched to an armbar! McDonald is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
