Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Danyaal Zahedi (ranked 481 p4p, 599 weight class) and Shane Lancaster (ranked 63 p4p, 75 weight class). Lancaster has chosen Slipknot - I Am Hated as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danyaal Zahedi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shane Lancaster!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Jonathan Paton and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lancaster shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Zahedi as he avoids it easily.
Zahedi swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Lancaster throws a body punch but Zahedi moves out of range.
Lancaster throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Zahedi counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Shane Lancaster has been cut.
Zahedi throws a hook but Lancaster blocks it.
Lancaster missing with a left hand there. Zahedi was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Lancaster rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Zahedi counters with a left to the body.
Lancaster misses with a takedown
and Zahedi counters with a nice right hand that sends Lancaster toppling to the canvas! Lancaster scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Zahedi finish him?!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lancaster misses with an uppercut
and Zahedi counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Lancaster has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Lancaster looks winded!
Lancaster moves out of range of the strikes.
Lancaster tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Zahedi sends Lancaster crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Zahedi is motioning to the referee to let Lancaster up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Lancaster doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Zahedi counters with a huge right that knocks Lancaster out cold! Zahedi is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Danyaal Zahedi!
