Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Prince McVicker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chilli Bloke!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Jorge Garcia and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McVicker lands a really nice looking cross but Bloke seems unphased.
McVicker throws an off balance right hand
and McVicker takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
McVicker definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Bloke throws a body punch but McVicker moves out of range.
McVicker takes one to the chin there.
Bloke tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McVicker was well out of range. Poor timing from Bloke.
Bloke checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Bloke displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as McVicker throws out the jab.
Bloke throws a body punch but McVicker moves out of range.
It looked like McVicker wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Bloke loads up on a big right hand but McVicker slips the punch.

and Bloke cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
McVicker swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

McVicker gets the takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McVicker lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Bloke manages to work his way to half guard, despite McVicker's best efforts.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McVicker looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Bloke is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but McVicker pulls his head out easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McVicker looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
McVicker is nestled in close to Bloke, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Bloke is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
McVicker slips a nice elbow through Bloke's hands, connecting with Bloke's forehead.
McVicker has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

McVicker is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bloke defends it well.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
McVicker content to control rather than advance.

McVicker with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

It seemed like Bloke was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
McVicker wants to clinch up but Bloke keeps it at a distance.
McVicker looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bloke is fending him off so far but McVicker persists. Nope, Bloke circles away and we're back to standing.
Bloke throws out a counter right but McVicker avoids it with no problem.
Bloke fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McVicker manages to avoid it.
Bloke takes a swing at McVicker's ribcage but misses.
McVicker shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Bloke eats them both and turns towards McVicker to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
McVicker is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Bloke's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
McVicker throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bloke stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Bloke scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Bloke walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Bloke gets tackled into the cage by McVicker. McVicker maintains the clinch.
Bloke misses with a body punch.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Bloke decides to pull guard.
McVicker trying to control the position from guard on top but Bloke is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Bloke working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McVicker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McVicker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

McVicker wants to control but Bloke is keeping him busy.

McVicker is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bloke knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

McVicker forces his way into half guard.
McVicker moves into full mount! Bloke won't be happy about that!

McVicker has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Bloke's face.

McVicker might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Bloke drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but McVicker manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bloke has McVicker in his guard.

McVicker slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Prince McVicker is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Bloke is fighting to break McVicker's control of his arms but McVicker is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Bloke stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McVicker swivels though and keeps the full guard.
McVicker is pulling down on Bloke's head. It's preventing any offense from Bloke, at least for the moment.

Bloke postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! McVicker is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bloke, into his guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Chilli Bloke has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Prince McVicker showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for McVicker, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
