Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johan Nilsson (ranked 3525 p4p, 2601 weight class) and Trent Temple (ranked 471 p4p, 355 weight class). Temple has chosen HonestKey- What My Life For as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Trent Temple has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Johan Nilsson's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Johan Nilsson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Trent Temple!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nilsson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Temple stuffs the takedown attempt from Nilsson. Nilsson gets slowly back to his feet.
Nilsson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Temple defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johan Nilsson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nilsson dives in and grabs Temple's left leg, looking for a takedown. Temple pushes down on Nilsson's head and hops out.
Temple is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Nilsson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Temple defends well and Nilsson ends up having to push Temple into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Temple! But no joy.
Temple tries a body shot but Nilsson blocks it.
Temple lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Nilsson has Temple pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Temple manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Temple works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Nilsson wants to take the fight to the mat but Temple manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
A left hand lands to the body for Temple.
Nilsson is breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Temple scores with a shoulder strike.
Temple scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Nilsson is rocked!
Nilsson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Oh Nilsson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Temple lands with a light punch inside.
Temple digs a right hand into Nilsson's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Nilsson's gas tank.
Temple throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Nilssons head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Temple.

That's one minute gone in the round.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Temple creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Temple lands a nice shot to the body.

Temple has clasped his hands together around Nilsson's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Temple has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Temple postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Nilsson badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Temple around the waist but Temple pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Temple is the winner by TKO! Temple jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Trent Temple!
After the fight, Trent Temple was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
