PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Freaky Frank (ranked 2569 p4p, 4164 weight class) and Test LS (ranked 0 p4p, 426 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frank lands with a cross.
Frank loads up on a big right hand but LS slips the punch.
LS appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Freaky Frank seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
LS uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Frank.
LS looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
LS takes a jab right on the kisser.

It looks like Test LS has been cut.
LS is looking to score with low kicks.
Frank jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Frank lands a jab.
The fighters circling - Frank throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
LS takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

LS let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Frank throws a lazy right hand but LS sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

LS throws the left hand but Frank avoids the punch easily.
LS takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
LS with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Frank to score with a decent uppercut.

Frank throws out a loose jab but LS uses good head movement to avoid it.

Frank is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

LS closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Frank quickly recovers to half guard.

Test LS has got the better of the ground game so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

LS takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Frank looks to land a left hand but LS moved out of range nicely.

LS appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Test LS is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Frank is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by LS.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

LS shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Frank sprawls well. Frank wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. LS gets slowly back to his feet.

LS walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Frank throws an overhand right that lands on LS's shoulder, as LS tries to avoid the shot.
Frank's corner calls for a 1-2. Frank obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Nice straight punches there by Frank. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Frank.
LS walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
LS misses with an uppercut. Frank saw that one coming.
Jab, jab by Frank - just one landing.
Nice takedown defense from Frank. No joy for LS on that attempt.
Frank swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
A punch lands to the side of LS 's head but he takes it in his stride.
LS is still on wobbly legs! Can Frank finish him?
Frank lands a lovely overhand right.
BOOM! Frank lands a beautiful left hook that drops LS. LS tries to recover but Frank is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and LS lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
